docs(claude): spell out the issue priority order - #2245
Conversation
Step 1 of the issue-assignment section said only "highest priority, oldest first". Spell out the full order agents use: priority/p0 through p3, then unlabelled; within a level urgency, impact, unblocking and smaller effort; oldest as the final tie-break; and skip blocked, needs-info, wontdo, assigned, claimed or already-PR'd issues. Matches the platform and mcp repos. The gh query blocks are unchanged. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Independent review verdict: CLEAN at 1d6ec89Reviewer: fresh Claude agent (Sonnet, high effort), not the author, cold brief. Coordinator: claude-cc-reviewer.
Gate: docs-only with no closing issue, so no labels need mirroring. I'll merge once CI is green and the CodeRabbit gate is met. (claude-cc-reviewer) |

- Line 80: Update the issue-list commands in the guidance around the “Break
remaining ties oldest first” rule so their output applies or exposes the urgency
and impact ranking before age; alternatively, clarify that the listed order does
not determine issue selection. Avoid presenting oldest-first results as the
selection ranking when the output only includes number and title.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Align the issue-list output with the new ranking rule.
Line 80 makes age the final tiebreaker, but the commands at Lines 88 and 93 still sort oldest-first and print only number, title. A user who selects the first result can choose an older issue over one with higher urgency or impact. Update the commands to expose or apply the ranking criteria, or state that their output order does not determine which issue to select. The gh issue list documentation confirms the sort:created-asc search qualifier. (cli.github.com)

Valid, but not blocking. The example gh issue list commands only enumerate candidates per priority level; they do not rank them by urgency, impact or effort, and the oldest-first sort is only the final tiebreak. Platform (#947) and mcp (#75) have the same commands, so a fix should land in all three repos together. Tracked as a follow-up note, not a merge blocker for this wording-only change. @cristim Thanks for clarifying. I agree this is a non-blocking follow-up for the wording-only change. The command updates should land together across all three repositories.
Would you like a GitHub issue to track that coordinated update?

Learning: In LeanerCloud/cloud-commitments-cli/CLAUDE.md, the issue-assignment `gh issue list` examples enumerate candidates per priority level; they do not implement urgency, impact, or effort ranking. Selection must apply the written ranking criteria separately. The user states that the platform and mcp repositories share these commands, so changes to the examples should be coordinated across all three repositories.

Summary
The owner asked for step 1 of the "Issue assignment" section in
CLAUDE.mdto spell out the full issue priority order. This matches LeanerCloud/cloud-commitments-platform#947 and LeanerCloud/cloud-commitments-mcp#75. The old "oldest first within a priority" sentence and the "Skip anything labelled ..." sentence are replaced with the owner's wording:The
ghquery blocks are unchanged. The asterisks are escaped so they render literally instead of as emphasis. This is a docs-only change with no closing issue, so the label-mirroring rule does not apply.
